You may have seen us out and about at shows such as Regional Flavors (Southbank, Brisbane), Ekka (RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane) and the Good Food & Wine Show (Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre). You may already be familiar with Rob Bauer, owner of Bauer's Organic Farms from well known Australian cook books and organic focused publications. The Lockyer Valley is proud to be the home of such an iconic family business that began in 1885 and is now Queensland's largest producer of certified organic vegetables. Keep an eye on Bauer's website or facebook page for the next farm open day, round up a group of friends for a farm tour, or enjoy fresh home delivered vegetables via their on-line ordering system.
While in the Lockyer Valley you cannot go past the Mulgowie Farmers Market, it is the ideal place to see many of our local food producers. Don't forget to visit Emmos Fine Foods for some locally produced cheese, D.A.D.Z Farm for some jams, pickles and relishes. Holmwood Lavender Farm for lavender products and for locally produced olive oil Brieschké's Lockyer Valley Olive Oil.
Preston Peak, the Lockyer Valley's only winery, is a family owned boutique winery. Make the drive up to beautiful Preston Peak to experience the stunning valley views and try some of their award winning wine selection.

While Schulte's Meat Tavern is a family owned and operated business that offer a range of the highest quality fresh red meat, pork and lamb products and their world famous Mettwurst.
UB's Farm at Helidon is famous for it's heirloom varieties of tomatoes and many more delicious vegetables and pre-cut salads. Chefs can also order direct. Check out their Facebook page to order direct. Produce is also available from a number of farmer's markets in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast on a regular basis. Our local markets are a great place to find fresh locally grown produce.
